Amazing Iceland - Part 2

Drive to the bottom of Eyjafjallajökull - the volcano that erupted in 2010 - with views of the glacier (a lot of it melted away then), followed by a drive around Hekla, one of Iceland's most active volcanos.
Most stunning scenery!

We also visited some geysers, waterfalls, and the bottom of the glacier of Langjökull! (With some dogs desperate to go for a run.) Last day we had a stroll around Reykjavik and are now on the way back into the sun! All in all a great trip and we will be back!

Amazing Iceland - Part 1

We started off with the Blue Lagoon, what a treat and skin felt great after. Kids counteracted the benefits with some blue slush that you could get at the bar in the middle of it!
Then off to see a bit of the countryside, amazing scenery, and smelly hot springs on the first day. Followed by the sight of volcanos and a cruise on the black beach (everyone was allowed a go, got to grips with the Arctic trucks and loved it - especially the kids!)

Then off for some camping (nearby a few volcano's), my first and probably only time. A quick hike up a mountain to earn our dinner, and some great views. More soon ... xx

Monday morning...

Something a little different for a Monday morning...
Saw this picture of electrical pylons in the german Elle decoration.

This design transforms mundane electrical pylons into statues on the Icelandic landscape by making only small alterations to existing pylon design. Devised by Design Company Choi + Shine, this is a great idea to make them look more appealing.
Have great start to the week! x
