An amazing lodge in the Waterberg by Silvio Rech and Lesley Carstens,
Project architects Jack Frenkel, Marco Corazza and interiors by Aparna Ramani with Lesly.
Photos were taken by photographer DOOK for VISI Magazine.
The lodge, called Leobo, has just been shortlisted for a World Architecture Festival Award - Congratulations to the design team!
And how serene is this?

Oh my gosh...this is paradise! I am heading to South Africa in March and would die to stay at a place like this!
ReplyDeleteThat rain shower is to die for!
Thank you for sharing!
Hi Caroline,
ReplyDeleteGreat to see your blog.
I worked as the project architect on this building for Silvio RECH & Lesley CARSTENS. Great to see that you like our building!
You'll be pleased to here there will soon be a website for the lodge which will take bookings! It's called LEOBO.
I see you have credited VISI Magazine (very small!) as well as Silvio and Lesley for the architecture and interior architecture.
If possible, please could you add the credits for the VISI photographer DOOK and project architect Marco Corazza whom I worked with for Silvio Rech. The interiors were worked on by Aparna Ramani with Lesley.
The sculpture at the top of staircase is by Angus Taylor.
Thanks again for posting the pics and your kind compliments!
Glad you like the place!
It's just been shortlisted for a World Architecture Festival Award- so we're all very excited.
Regards,
Jack Frenkel
Dear Jack,
DeleteThanks for your comment. Am very happy to add more credits and will do so in a bit.
Congratulations to the shortlist for the award, that sounds great.
However, blog is from January, so it might be more effective to do another one, which I am happy to do.
Either with another project of yours or slightly different pictures.
What do you think?
Best wishes
Caroline
